This shelving bracket has been designed to be multi functional, it allows the customer to adjust the length of the shelving bracket to that in which they desire. The wooden slats are available in various types hardwood and softwood to ensure that no matter what the theme of the consumers house, this product will always fit in. At the front of the bracket I have incorporated a metal bar which can be used with the S hooks provided or with a standard coat hanger for easy storage. When I designed this piece my original inspiration for this product was for storing sports equipment within my local youth centre, however I have also tried to design it so that it can be used within the modern household as well as work well within other environments.

Venture - Cycling Sat Nav

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Venture is a concept around improving the ease of travel around London, this design is based around incorporating it into the Barclay's cycle hire scheme that already exists. The device would act not only as a sat nav but also as a tourist information guide that would inform you of near by landmarks or points of interest throughout London. The main reason for my decision to develop this concept is due to the Olympic games that are coming to London later on this year. It would help tourist to travel around a lot easier via cycling making it echo friendly and also help the tourist to gain a better knowledge of the culture and history within our great city of London.

Ceramic Thermos Flask

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This thermos flask design has a double wall vacuum insulation for maximum temperature retention, hot or cold. However instead of the classic aluminum exterior this contemporary design has a ceramic interior and exterior, making it cool to the touch with hot liquids. It consists of a push and pour stopper which lets you pour without removing the stopper. This concept design uses the natural characteristics of the ceramic material to keep the liquids hot or cold, enabling it to be produced from one material instead of having a fragile glass interior. The lid is a insulated cup with heat proof rubber outer shell, which is made of silicone rubber meaning instead of a screw on lid it uses the natural characteristics of the rubber to tightly push on and pull off. This makes it a lot quicker and easier to remove the lid as well as being a clever design aspect. The indentations on the overall shape of the thermos flask softly suggest were to ergonomically hold the flask. The logo is taken from the current most popular thermos company Thermos, this is due to my design being most likely to be reproduced by this company. The logo keeps its classic design, however instead of being flat it is slightly raised to create a more tactile feel.

Flexi-sclaes - Weighing Scales

 

 

 

 

 

This concept dealt with the scenario, that when trying to weigh the suitcase it is very difficult to try and lift the case up onto the weighing scales. Another factor which usually causes problems when weighing is the surface area of the scales. Due to most scales being quite small it makes it very hard to try and see the interface. Therefore I developed this design that is a slim and stylish contemporary design, which makes it easy to just roll your case and walk on to than the traditional weighing scales. The interface has also been increased to allow visibility to be increased when weighing suitcases and for the poorly sighted. Its available in a range of colours to suit the specific style and is produced from flexible rubber for easy storage and transport. The scales are durable and easy to clean, available in two sizes for the bathroom and kitchen.

Ebony - Mobile Phone

 

 

This design is based around developing a product to incorporate new technology. The phone ergonomically fits perfectly within your hand, combined with the capability of screen rotation this concept is suitable for both left and right handed people. You control how you view your videos, images and text messages, with this new holographic technology. This new technology allows you to project your image and texts enabling a whole new experience for the consumer within a stylish handheld phone. The various aspects of this concept such as the holographic capabilities are currently in development, which therefore is a positive sign that concept phones such as these maybe in our day to day life sooner than we believe.

This aftershave bottle design was based around he personality of Jose Mourinho. The stylish design would have a rubber edge which will increase safety as well as grip when holding the bottle. The inner surface will be made of white glass allowing a slight view of how much fragrance is left within the bottle. Fragrance contains 75ml of liuid, made and designed for Jose Mourinho. It is elegance combined with masculinlty, connects strength and sensualaity, the signature fragrance of a man in control. Campeão brings together some unique materials in a way no other has before, its precious essences reflect the inner elegant soul.
